Born in the tradition handed down three generations started in 1957 with the famous Augusto Davide, Gelateria David definitely merits a visit in Sorrento.
It is in fact considered a real angle of paradise not only for sweet lovers but also for all who love unmistakable flavours. The fruit flavours are genuine and made with fresh fruit using strict criteria to make the flavours authentic.
Following the principles of running the business in family tradition, Gelateria David is characterized in the loving way it works, and takes care that the customer is assured that every product and every taste and smell reveals unmistakable flavours, and are capable of delighting any palate.
In spite of this it takes away nothing from being fanciful, full of fantasy and orginal.
In fact it is possible at Gelateria David to taste more than 100 specialties, the more traditional flavours (chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, vanilla and english trifle) and the more innovative Sorrento Moon (almond and lemon) or Profumi di Sorrento (orange, lemon and mandarine) and Bongo (mousse of profiteroles) and Macadamia (Australian hazelnuts).


Particular attention is dedicated to ice cream dishes and to an authentic speciality, spaghetti ice cream.
It is not only these specialities that make this a complete stop but the variety that is offered at this ice cream shop in Sorrento. It is appreciated for its many mousses, pan cakes, crepes, sandwiches and snacks if you want which can be accompanied with a hot cappuccino or other drinks.
It is difficult to resist the tentation to taste the many specialities offered to the customer and of course to go back for a greedy second.
Gelateria David is situated in Via Marziale, centrally located near the station and Piazza Lauro, it is also close to the main Piazza Tasso and the historic centre of Sorrento.
